Directions: How to find us and the quirks of mapquest and google.

From Denver Airport: Approximately 146 miles, about 3 hours driving time.

Please note that while Google says Hwy 82 is closed immediately west of Twin Lakes, this isn’t exactly true. Highway 82 is closed over Independence Pass in the winter but the actual closure begins at road 82D on the Google map. So in the winter you can use these directions to access a lot of great country for back-country skiing, snowshoeing west out of Twin Lakes.
